Excellence in Teaching Award

Eligibility:

 

  • West Virginia English teachers of grades K-12
  • Teachers can be nominated by students, peers, members of their community, or self-nominated.
  • The nominee must be an active, full-time teacher with at least three years of experience.
  • Nominated teachers must fill out an application, and a judging committee (comprised of past winners, members of the WVCTE Executive Committee, and others from the educational community) reviews applications and selects the winners.
  • Nominees cannot be members of the WVCTE Executive or Conference Committees during current planning year.

All application packets must be submitted below or emailed as a PDF to wvcte15@gmail.com on or before

March 26, 2018.

Applicants will submit the following:

  • All information included in form below
  • Current resume
  • Teaching Philosophy (max 2 pages double spaced)
  • 2 Letters of Recommendation

Finalists will be notified by April 2, 2018. Finalists and winner will be recognized and awarded prize at the 2018 WVCTE conference during Saturday’s luncheon on April 21, 2018.
